BANG! BANG!

"Have fun in hell." I said aloud, placing the gun back in Chris’ hand.

I took a final look at Juan’s body before walking past the crew and up the stairs.

"Somebody clean up this mess." I heard someone say, I was guessing Chris.

Once in the bedroom, Chris and I shared, I stripped out of my clothes and got ready to shower.

After almost an hour in the shower, I finally shut off the water and wrapped a towel around my body. When I stepped out of the bathroom, I was greeted by Chris who was sitting on the bed waiting for me.

"What are you doing?"

"Drying my hair." I responded, running the cotton towel over my damp hair.

"You know what I’m talking about. You just shot someone and you’re acting like it’s normal." Chris said showing his irritation.

"Isn’t it? You do it all the time." I shot back, grabbing a pair of underwear from my drawer and sliding them on along with a pair of jeans that were setting on the bed.

"That’s because -"

"Please don’t give me a speech about how it’s your job. I am-"

"You’re gonna stop interrupting me." Chris said cutting me off.

"Sorry." I apologized.

"Regardless of what you think, I would have taken care of that muthafucka. It is my job to protect you."

"I know." I assured him.

"Do you? Because it seemed to me like you were doubting me down there." I grabbed a t-shirt then plopped down next to Chris and listened. "When you were a younger it was your dad’s kpb to protect you. When your dad got locked up it was Max’s job. Now you’re my responsibility and I’m going to take care of you. Ypu and this baby." he said placing his hand over my stomach.

I looked down at his hand and smiled. Everything about his fingers on my skin felt so right. I looked up to meet Chris’ gaze.

"You’ll always be safe with me." he said pulling me into his arms.

"Quinn.. Quinn .. Quinn..!?" Chris repeated, waving his hand infront of my face, snapping me out of my daze.

"Huh?"

"You alright?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah. Just thinking."

"Ok. I asked you if you wanted to go shopping for the baby."

Now it was my turn to ask Chris if he was ok. He hated shopping especially with me. According to him, I take too long.

Noticing the look on my face, the corners of his mouth turnec up into a full-blown grin. “I knew that would get your attention.” he chuckled.

"That’s for sure." I laughed along with him.

"I just want to spend time with you. So you down to ride or nah?"

"Of course, baby." I smiled, getting up from my chair. Chris noticed my struggle and helped me to my feet. "Thank you."

"I love you, Quinn. No matter what the future brings you’ll always be safe with me."

"I know. I love you." I whispered.

Never had I spoken truer words. I will always love Christopher ‘Breezy’ Brown. Through it all we have been true warriors.

Quinn:

I shifted my body slightly, away from the window in hopes to keep the sun, that was currently shining through the curtains, from blinding me.

I sighed loudly to myself as I gave up on going back to sleep. I tossed the covers from my body, slowly got out of the bed, careful not to wake Chris and retreated to the bathroom.

After showering, brushing my teeth and getting dressed, I made my way downstairs to make breakfast.

"Morning, beautiful." Chris smiled entering the kitchen, wrapping his strong arms around my torso, pecking my cheek and rubbing my growing belly.

"Morning." I said, pouring the rest of the pancake batter into the pan. "You wanna make our plates?"

"Yeah." he agreed, kissing my neck and rubbing my belly one final time, before letting me go.

I watched as he grabbed two plate from the cabinet and then started to pile the food on to them. After making sure the pancake was done, I turned off the stove, then plopped it onto the plate he had made for himself.

He thanked me with a smile, before taking our plates and placing them on the table. Chris pulled out my usual chair and watched as I put the pan into the sink and then slowly waddled over to him, taking my seat.

It was silent for a moment after Chris took his seat. I looked up from my plate to see him stuffing his face with pancakes and bacon. The sight was so funny, I couldn’t help but laugh. Chris looked up from his food long enough to scold me for laughing, before he continued eating.

Halfway through his plate, Chris cleared his throat alerting me he had something to say. “You were tossing and turning again, last night.”

"Yeah." I nodded chewing a piece of bacon. "I couldn’t get comfortable. My back has been bothering me." I admitted.

This whole pregnancy had been uncomfortable. If my back wasn’t killing me, my headaches were or my feet would swell making it unbareable to stand for long periods of time and don’t even get me started on nausea and morning sicknes; which technically wasn’t even morning sickness anymore, it was more like all day sickness.

But I had to hand it to the crew for putting up with me and my craziness. Especially Chris. He was being a true trooper. These past 27 weeks had been a constant emotional rollercoaster. One minute I was screaming I hated him and then the next all I wanted was for him to be near me. On top of that there were the stomach-turning cravings I was experiencing. Anything and everything was bound to be requested by me at any minute. Regardless Chris was showing me how much he cared and loved me by being at my every beck and call; something I am so appreciative of.

"Is that all that’s been bothering you?" Chris quizzed, waiting for me to crack under the pressure of his gaze. When I didn’t say anything he continued on. "You know you can tell me anything, right?"

"Yes. I know." I said, sending a genuine smile his way.

"Just making sure."

Chris and I had definitley been on the up and up lately. Everything was going amazing between us. Instead of our usual bickering, we were actually having grown up conversations. I can honestly say we are happy. The way his face lights up when we talk about being parents was overwhelming.

I am honestly 100% in love with this man.

As Chris finished his food, I sat across from him pushing the rest of the food on my plate around in circles. I went from watching Chris shovel food into his mouth, to staring off into space daydreaming.

At first I was picturing myself changing diapers, then suddenly my vision changed. I was now thinking back to that dreadful, yet joyous day in the basement.

"I’m going to kill him. Either you’re going to go upstairs. Or you’re going to watch." Chris growled at me.

At that moment everyones eyes shifted to me and I had to make a decision.

"Then I guess I’m going to watch." I heard a voice say.

I looked around the room to see who had spoken such terrifying words. Everyone including Juan was staring at me, with eyes big as saucers. Which made me realize it was me. I was the voice that had spoken such frightning words.

"Quinn, you don’t - you don’t want that." Rosie tried to convince me, placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Don’t tell me what I want." I said louder than neccessary, snatching my arm away from her grasp.

"Quinn -"

"NO!" I snapped, cutting Chris off. "None of you know what this motherfucker, did to me. None of you were there! He ruined me!"

I stared at Juan with fire in my eyes. He was one of the few people, I could truely say I hated. Everything about him disgusted me.

"He deserves to die." I wiped my eyes free of the tears that now threatned to fall.

"Quinn, nobody is say what Juan did was okay." Tey said grabbing my face and making me look at her. "But you have bigger and much more important things to worry about."

"That’s exactly why I need to be here." I removed her hands and walked towards Chris.

He looked down at me, unsure of my next move. With his gun on his right hand and my face in his left he spoke. “I don’t want you down here. Go upstairs with the girls.”

"I’m not leaving. I’m done running from him. Either you kill him or I will." I looked up at him, making sure he knew I was serious.

"You’re gonna kill me? You sure you can handle that? I mean you couldn’t even handle the dick. How you gone handle pulling the trigger?" Everyone’s eyes shifted from me to Juan as he taunted me.

"Shut your disgusting mouth!" I screamed, only making him laugh.

"What’s wrong, Quinn? You don’t want everybody to know how you were begging me -"

"Shut the fuck up." I gritted making him smirk.

At this point I was beyond pissed. I was at the point of no return. Juan had made me feel vulnerable for the last time. I was no longer going to fear him. I snatched Chris’ glock from him, and aimed.
